There are many things that distinguish Dallas from the other cities in the state of Texas and even in the entire country. This metropolis is the third largest in Texas and the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex is the largest metropolitan area in the state. The city also holds the first place in the country for the most shopping centers per capita. If you decide to book a room in a hotel Dallas has many things to offer. In fact, this is one of the most visited tourist destinations in Texas and the great number of tourist attractions will not disappoint you.

The metropolis is divided into more than ten districts and each of them has distinct characteristics. In other words, you will have plenty of points of interest in the vicinity, no matter which district you decide to stay in. The historic side of the city, West End, is located in downtown, which also features desirable residences. This is the district that people interested in the nightlife should check out. East Dallas, the following neighborhood, abounds in restaurants, coffee shops, taverns and wine bars. Also, there are numerous vintage shops in this area that are worth a visit. Lake Highlands is another residential area.

North Dallas and Preston Hollow are two districts that include a few high-class neighborhoods. Dallas Love Field, the second biggest airport of the city, is located in Northwest Dallas, along with Koreatown. If you decide to come here by plane, this airport is certainly a viable option. Tourists interested in museums are highly recommended to go to South Dallas, a district that abounds in such visitor attractions. Uptown is a district that will suit the visitors who enjoy exploring cities on foot. Highland Park and University Park are two of the wealthiest districts in this city and they should not be missed by shopping addicts.

As mentioned before, tourists can arrive here by plane, but this is certainly not the only option. The city is connected via railway to four major routes, so you can easily take the train from any part of the country to get here. If you own a car or decide to rent one from another town, there are many highways that connect Dallas to the rest of the country. The city also features a couple of bus stations, so you can also take this into consideration when planning a trip to this metropolis.

Exploring the city on foot may prove to be a bit difficult, considering the size of the city. Because of this, you may have to rely on the public transportation system, which is known as DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit). By using this system you will be able to get to any corner of the city in no time. Once you step outside the hotel Dallas unravels before your eyes. This city includes attractions for tourists of any age and any background.

First of all, this city includes numerous interesting museums. The Sixth Floor Museum is placed in the building from where Lee Harvey Oswald fired the shots that killed John F. Kennedy. The Dallas Museum of Art combines Western and Eastern art in a unique way and the works of art exhibited here are really suitable for all ages. Alternatively, if you want to see works of art that belong to Picasso, El Greco, Ribera, Goya, Miro, Murillo and Velasquez, you really need to visit the Meadows Museum of Art. This museum features the largest Spanish collections outside of Spain, so it really stands apart.

Tourists who enjoy attending sports games are not neglected, either. The city is quite famous for its professional ice hockey team, as well as for its basketball and football teams. You will be highly entertained if you get here during the season. Families with children should not miss the zoological garden of this city. The kids will have the chance to see more than 8,000 animals. Also, if you want to see more than just an aquarium placed in the lobby of a hotel Dallas World Aquarium represents an ideal choice. The little tourists will surely love it. This city is the very epitome of a warm, Texan welcome, mixed with a modern city with the first class amenities that the modern tourist or business traveler expects.
