There are many things that distinguish Dallas from the other cities in the state of Texas and even in the entire country. This metropolis is the third largest in Texas and the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex is the largest metropolitan area in the state. The city is connected via railway to four major routes, so you can easily take the train from any part of the country to get here. If you own a car or decide to rent one from another town, there are many highways that connect Dallas to the rest of the country. The city also features a couple of bus stations, so you can also take this into consideration when planning a trip to this metropolis.

Exploring the city on foot may prove to be a bit difficult, considering the size of the city. Because of this, you may have to rely on the public transportation system, which is known as DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit).
